Leicestershire Swimming community lost a dedicated member, a lifetime member of Loughborough Town SC and long time referee who worked tirelessly to support Leicestershire Swimming.
There are some of you that will remember Brian from before my time at Hinckley SC but I know that we'll all be thinking the same. Brian was a friend to us all and will be truly missed by Leicestershire Swimming. He was always happy to help support our Club Champs along with the LASA Age Groups over the years and he was one of the nicest referees to talk with and always had time for any swimmer or official. In the last few years Brian also continued to attend and contribute on the Leicestershire ASA committee after he retired from officiating.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with Brian's family at their loss of a very special person who was loved and respected by all. We would like everyone at Hinckley SC to join Brian's family & Loughborough Town SC in remembering Brian.
Brian's funeral will take place at 2pm on Thursday 28th April at Loughborough Crematorium (please note: family flowers only). Brian's family have notified us that donations can be made to Cancer Research and Paphos Hospital (in Cyprus) but we are not sure how the money will be collected for the latter at this point. Hinckley Swimming Club will be making a donation to Cancer Research.
