We had two teams competing in the Coventry Warehousing Sprints on Saturday.

We had entered two teams for the event, but as time got closer to raceday, our open mens team had become gradually depleted such that the 2nd team had been put back into the A-team! So this left a gap in the B-team. So this is when our heroic team got stuck in.

50 year old Coach and hero Paul Sippitt filled in the backstroke race and the relay with 48 year old Simon Chiles making his competitive debut swimming the Breastroke! Not forgetting Alan Hamilton either who stepped up to the plate.

It took a lot of courage for Paul and Simon to do the races knowing that scoring a point was as much as they could hope for, but it's a good lesson for everybody, the team comes first and those boys put it first, so a big thanks to them both!
