Wow!

What a weekend, incredible! Results from LASA. There were so many highlights, its hard to point them all out, however....

Massive congratulations, a bronze statue in Hinckley town centre and any other plaudits we can think of to Joel Weston who becomes the first Hinckley swimmer of this decade to make the national championships (in the 200m Fly). A staggering performance to top off what has been a mercurial rise over the last 12 months. Hopefully it'll give that last bit of encouragement to the other 2 or 3 swimmers that are knocking on the same door!  Fingers crossed! 

The other highlights were the first ever midlands times for Callum Stretton and Becky Orton, this goes to prove that Nice guys do win! Both have had it a long time coming but its a wonderful achievement to make it, so we're chuffed for them! 

We have a stack load of other MQT's from our City based stars which is fantastic (see below). Georgia Petch's effort in the 100m breast was also stunning, finishing 3rd in the overall final, great work! 

Also the 1-2-3 in the Boys 12's 200m fly was a great sight! Not bad for a small town club! 

Lastly a big well done to all those making their debuts in the champs, you all did a great job, loads of PB's and that is the main aim! Much to build on for the years to come and the rest of the champs. 

An amazing weekend all in, a ridiculous amount of medals, wonderful achievements them all.
