Crackin' weekend for Hinckley

This weekend we had some great results. ☺ the club could not have asked any more of all
our swimmers this last weekend. With 3
gala's we were asking a lot from some swimmers both in the number of events
they swam and in racing both days for Hinckley and boy did we do well! Give yourselves a big pat on the back for
your performances, you did an amazing job for the club and overall it was
massive team efforts with everyone playing their part.
Saturday saw Hinckley start the weekend with 2 excellent performances, the first at Braunstone finishing 1st in the Leicester League and other finishing 2nd in the Arena League.
Sunday saw us cap off the weekend with a fantastic
weekend winning at Whitwick in the
Reliant Trophy. The gala was finished in some style in the cannon, we started well
with the first few swimmers giving us a good lead but such was the strength of
the other teams that they pegged us back leaving our last two swimmers to pull
out the stops to take us to victory. Jasmine Astill swam a
great leg giving Joel Weston the opportunity to close down the 3m gap which he
duly did to win by a fraction in front of a strong Coalville team.
Thanks also goes to all the Team Managers, Coaches, Judges and Time Keepers for their help on poolside this weekend and of course to the parents for the efforts that goes into getting the swimmers to the galas.
