Tonight's fun gala brings to a close 2012! Thanks to everybody who helped put it together, to team Mackaniac-Jedward for the organisation, Tracy and Sue for confirmations/raffle/food and teams respectively, Daryl on results, Heidi on quiz marking, Sinclair on the Decks, Dave Haines on the Mic, Paddy Henney for his banter, Dave Puffett, Phil and David Kettle as our officials, thanks to the team managers Paul Sippitt, Alan Walters, Team Stretton, The Reddans, Dave Timms, Alison Perry, Clare Weston, Patricia & Lawrence Shreeve, Cathy Bright and those who supported Rod, Keeley and Lucy in the flume pool gala; Leanne Kirby, Justin Beasley, Marc Norton, Angie sheehy, Bernie schofield, Sally Anne Munroes, Mel Hansons.Anyhow it was a good turnout, great atmosphere, it was a shame we lost so many in the last couple of days to illness, but that's the time of year although this year seems to have been particularly unfortunate in that respect.
It's been another great year for HSC, onward and upward! We've had so many youngsters do great things this year, qualifying for midlands championships, progressing into the City Of Leicester squads, smashing club championship records, wining county championship events. That's not to forget the progress that has been made by those further down the same ladder which we take for granted but it's still as special! Thanks to all those that made it possible, all the coaches and teachers and those behind the scenes that make it all work that get sparse credit for a lot of work.
And it's not about winning everything, its about fighting the good fight, giving it all and being a team, which was the case the other week when our B-Team made the Autumn Leicester League final, came in 8th but gave it everything and just getting there was a brilliant achievement (See Steven and Joel below).
