Rules For Club Records:
  1. Records can only be claimed by swimmers who were members of Hinckley Swimming Club at the time of the claimed record swim (based on Age as of day).
  2. Club Records will be recorded for BOYS and GIRLS in the 9-10 years (10/under), 11-12 years, 13-14 years, 15-16 years & Open Age Groups.
  3. Records can be claimed for the following distances:

           Freestyle:   50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m & 1500m
      Backstroke:    50m, 100m & 200m
      Breaststroke:   50m, 100m & 200m
      Butterfly:  50m, 100m & 200m
      Individual Medley:   100m, 200m & 400m 

  4. Pool length:

       Short Course (SC):  25m
      Long Course (LC):   50m

  5. Records should be claimed by presenting the official times from an official results sheet or an official entry/time card with the time endorsed by the Referee or Chief Timekeeper of the event and the Event must be a British Swimming "licenced" event (or an approved International events by the ASA Ranking Team) i.e. times must appear on the ASA Rankings database.  Note:  Bear Trophy, Inter-Club Galas times are not accepted unless the gala is licenced.
  6. Records will be recorded to 1/100th of a second and will not be accepted using converted times. Records can only be established in still water from events held under ASA, Welsh, Scottish or FINA rules.
General Notes 
The Club will endeavour to identify records as they are achieved. However, the final responsibility lies with the swimmer to check all records and, if necessary, contact the Club Records Sub-Committee as soon as reasonably possible and in any event not later than 30 days from the date of the claimed record swim. Where possible the Club Records Sub-Committee, will update the club’s website showing any records that were broken. Disputes over records are to be notified to the Club Records Sub-Committee in writing and will be resolved by the Committee.
