First up we need to issue out some big congratulations to a couple of our guys.

Well done to Harry Puffett who nailed himself a Midlands Champs qualifying time in the 200 Backstroke, anybody who can get a qualifying time for that competition can consider themselves to be a bit of a star, its a really stunning achievement! So well done big man!

Also well done to Greg Timms-Shaw who will be joining our ever growing crowd in the county development squad at Braunstone. We've had 4 in the last year in that same BT age category go up there which is pretty amazing and we're pretty sure we'll have at least a couple more up there before too long!

Also well done to our team of guys that swam in the Intercounty masters for Leicestershire on November 21. Andy "Mackaniac" Mackay, John "Jedward" Edwards and David Cobb represented the team which ran in 2nd to Warwickshire on the day which is not a bad effort.

It was John's first time representing the county at 27, so it goes to prove a lack of talent need not be a barrier to swim at a pretty high level, hard work and a bit of grit can go a long way! To put it in perspective John's relay team had GB Junior swimmer Tsubasa Nakagawa on leg 1, so it was a pretty broad and eclectic team!  Andy was representing Leicestershire for the 3rd time. David for the record is competing in the over 60's category and that goes to prove swimming is a sport for life, and a competitive one at that!
